Lamps

Lamps are the easiest lighting change to make — no electrician, no drywall. Browse more than 280 table lamps, floor lamps, arc and torchiere styles, and task lighting for desks and reading chairs.

Height tip: A table lamp beside a sofa or bed should put the bottom of the shade at roughly eye level when you're seated — usually a 26–30" lamp on a standard end table. Floor lamps for reading work best at 58–64" overall.

Layering lamps with sconces and overhead ceiling fixtures is what gives a room depth. Finish the space with mirrors and decor.
